SPF is lead by Vicki Madden, one of Australia’s most accomplished television creatives with over 25 years experience as a writer, script producer and showrunner. Her wide ranging career has spanned internationally steering high-level television drama not only in Australia but also the UK and Ireland including ‘The Bill’, ‘Lynda LaPlante’s Trial and Retribution’, and celebrated Irish drama ‘The Clinic’. In Australia her credits include much loved and successful series such as ‘Water Rats’, ‘Blood Brothers’ and ‘Halifax FP’.
From an early career honing her craft on seminal long-running dramas including ‘The Flying Doctors’ and ‘G.P.’, Vick has emerged as a driving force of high-end television in Australia as both Showrunner and Producer.
Her acclaimed supernatural drama series, ‘The Kettering Incident’, premiered on Foxtel in 2016 and went on to be the highest rating Australian cable TV drama. It was also lauded by critics and received the Grand Jury prize as Series mania, Paris.
Under the SweetPotatoFilms banner Vicki has gathered a suite of creative collaborators to forge a new brand of screen storytelling that is bold, ambitious and always beyond the ordinary. SPF is currently in development of a slate of new TV, digital and feature productions with companies and creatives in the UK, US and in Australia.
